Step Into Adventure: Why I’m Loving Vessi Shoes This Season

Recently, I headed out for a day of adventure with friends, with no real plan other than to explore some trails and enjoy the warm spring air.Originally, we tried to visit a few conservation areas — Ken Reid, Balsam Lake, and McRae Point Provincial Park — but found them all closed due to the major ice storm we had in April. Instead of giving up, we decided to roll with it and ended up at Sibbald Point Provincial Park, where we hiked the Maidenhair Trail. The trail was short but beautiful, weaving through the forest and we took a short drive to the day use area for some peaceful views of Lake Simcoe.

After our hike, we drove into Sutton for a coffee stop at Black River Coffee, followed by the ultimate road trip lunch: burgers and fries from the Hit the Spot Chip Truck. We finished our day sitting by Lake Simcoe, soaking up the sunshine and chatting about summer plans.

It was one of those perfect spring days — simple, spontaneous, and made even better by having comfy, dry feet and a breathable base layer to keep me cool.
